Maverick Software Consulting's small business offering is featured in the April 2014 edition of Minnesota Business magazine. Last year Maverick introduced a new twist to their offering, making it easier for small businesses to take advantage of Maverick's staff augmentation and college recruiting services. Now students (from large or small universities) can work remotely for small companies. Maverick provides students with a laptop with special hardware to protect the data and track the location of the computer, giving companies peace of mind. Smaller companies can take advantage of this remote model by hiring just one or two students, based on their company's need.
Maverick's custom designed student monitoring software and remote model were appealing aspects to Scott Davis of QonQr. Using Maverick, Davis hired a full-time summer intern, Cole Durdan, from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville in June 2013. Durdan's original role was software testing but as he gained experience, he began building new product features and is now a software developer with QonQr. Davis and QonQr have been a great partner to Maverick in testing out the remote student model and seeing it through to success.
