Maverick Software Consulting's Iowa State University office was opened in the fall of 2008. The Ames office currently employers 22 students who work on projects involving software development and testing.

Students at this location gain in-depth experience consisting of:
Students strengthen interpersonal skills by meeting with project leads to discuss progress, issues and other questions. Using email and chat applications with coaches and mentors to aid in troubleshooting issues related to development, testing, and project environment increases productivity, communication skills as well as improving working independently
Expand on their problem sovling and critical thinking skills by debugging failures, analyzing/designing regression test scenarios and writing test scripts
Students participate in an agile development process including daily scrums, regular standups, planning and iteration retrospective meetings and interface functionality demonstrations.
Students implement and expand on the knowledge gained in classes by creating and maintaining code bases for large scale development and quality assurance teams. Working in a variety of languages and technologies including: Java, C#, Ruby, JavaScript, SQL, XML, regex, Selenium, TFS, and Git.
